After completing your 5K, celebrate with us as we party on the beach! Once you cross the finish line, you’ll be greeted with a sunset after-party including a live DJ, giveaways, exhibitors and the return of the Tito’s Garden where you can enjoy a refreshing Tito’s drink or two!

PACKET PICKUP & DAY OF REGISTRATION

At this time, only day of race packet pickup will be offered. Packet pickup will be available starting at 4:30pm at the event start/finish line (near Alki Beach Bath House) and last until the start the 5K run at 6:00pm. During this same timeframe, you will also be allowed to register via your smartphone if you haven’t done so ahead of time for $45.

The Alki Beach Sunset Run is a fun themed 5K Run/Walk that all are welcome to participate in. The event will feature a 5K run/walk starting on the shores of Alki Beach near the Alki Beach Bathhouse, taking runners east, running towards the Seattle Skyline before turning around and returning along the Alki Beach bike path and water-front promenade. After the run has ended, stick around and soak up those sunset vibes in the Tito’s Garden featuring a live DJ playing upbeat, happy hour music, while sipping on a Tito’s mixed drink or two!

Course Description & Map

The Alki Beach Sunset Run 5K course is a scenic out & back along the Alki Ave Running Trail taking in the breathtaking scenery as you run east towards the Seattle skyline before turning around near Luna Park. On your return run west towards Alki Beach, your focus will be on Elliott Bay, the Seattle Ferry Boats, Olympic Mountains and gorgeous Seattle sunset. This course is flat and fast; you’ll be at the finish line before you realize you’ve made the turnaround! Course map below

Parking & Travel

Parking for the event will be located along the side streets running perpendicular to Alki Ave. Please follow and obey all no-parking signs as all of Alki Ave will be no-parked to allow participants the ability to run along the full width of the road. Arrive early, the later you arrive the further away you’ll need to park.

WHEN IS THE LIVE EVENT? Saturday, August 19, 2023

WHAT TIME IS THE EVENT? 6:00pm - 8:30pm

WILL THE EVENT HAS A MASS START? Yes - the event will feature a mass start, but depending on the size of the race, we will split the event start into smaller waves to accommodate people on the trail.

WHEN IS PACKET PICKUP? Packet pickup will be available on race day starting at 4:30pm and last through until the start of the event, 6:00pm

DO YOU HAVE GEAR CHECK? We will not be offering gear check for the event. We encourage everyone to leave their "stuff" in their car while running. Swag, including your shirt and glass will be given to you prior to the race, so if you don’t want to carry it, drop it off in your car. We will not fill your commemorative glass in the Tito’s garden.

WHERE IS PARKING? Parking for the event will be located throughout the Alki Beach neighborhood. Please be sure to read street signs and follow all parking guidance.

WHAT'S THE COURSE? The 5K course will be an out and back run along Alki Beach.

WILL WATER STATIONS BE AVAILABLE? No, there will be no on-course water stations but we will offer bottled water at the finish line.

ARE STROLLERS OR PUPS ALLOWED? Sure, all we ask is that you stay to the edge of the course and running paths to allow others to pass. If with a pup, please make sure they are to the outside of the course at all times.

ONCE REGISTERED, CAN I RECEIVE A REFUND? No refunds will be given. We will allow any participant unable to attend to defer their entry to 2024 or transfer their registration to another participant. Email us if this is needed. If for some reason the event is cancelled, all live entries will be transferred to a virtual entry and swag will be mailed out.

VOLUNTEER

We need volunteers to help make this event as fun as possible!

Volunteer needs are:

• Pre-Race Packet Pickup & Registration (4:30PM - 6:00PM)

  • Pre-Race Packet Pickup Volunteers will receive a FREE RACE ENTRY as part of their volunteer thank you package. You’ll receive it AFTER your shift concluded before the start of the last wave of the race, if you’d like to participate

• Finish Line (6:00PM - 8:15PM)

  • Volunteers are needed to help provide SWAG to all finishers of the race as they finish their run. You’ll create swag bags and hand to all finishers.
